Care guide
How to keep plated pieces, pearl-look beads and stones looking bright for longer.
The three rules
- On last, off first. Put jewelry on after lotion, perfume and hairspray, and take it off before showering, swimming, the gym or sleep.
- Keep it dry. Water, sweat and chlorine wear plated finishes fastest.
- Store it apart. Keep each piece separate so it doesn't scratch the others.
By material
- Gold-tone and rose gold-tone finishes: wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Don't use polishing cloths, toothpaste or dips; they remove plating.
- Pearl-look beads: wipe with a slightly damp cloth, then dry. Store necklaces flat.
- Stones and petals: clean with a soft, dry brush; don't soak. Take earrings off over a soft surface so nothing chips if dropped.
Honest expectations
Plated finishes soften over time. That's normal for fashion jewelry and isn't a fault. If a finish wears through within the first 30 days, contact us.
